Volunteer

Dear Parent Volunteers,

We would like to extend an offer for you to come to our school. We are always happy to welcome new faces to our team. As you may already know, joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteer, and volunteering does not obligate you to join the PTA.

We want to keep our teachers and staff happy, so extra hands are always welcomed.  Our only requirement is that you complete the PISD volunteer background check on the district website. Once that is completed, you are welcome at the school at any time.

The best way to get up-to-date PTA information is to join our CJ Harris PTA page on Facebook and keep your eyes out for emails from the school. We always try to share information! 

There are many ways you can get involved in the PTA! You can volunteer your time at the school, or at home, and help with anything the teachers and staff might need (copying, laminating, cutting things out, etc). We also have the following PTA committees that we’d love you to join:

-Dads/Families on Duty

-Communications Committee

-Fundraising Committee

-Yearbook Committee

-Hospitality Committee

-Copycats

Any amount of time you can share will greatly help our school and our students- you can volunteer once a week, once a month, or even just help out with an event!
